The New Form of Content Marketing

8 CRO Tips for e-Commerce Sales

We create hundreds if not thousands of articles of blog content, for what reason? Its because we want to surge traffic. But there must be a better way to get traffic than just cranking out thousands and thousands of articles. Today I’m going to break down the new form of content marketing.

How To Get The Most SEO And Web Traffic Benefits From Blogging

The best way to get people and search engines (which means more people) to your website is by getting relevant inbound links. If you have some spiffy new gimmick on your website this may be easy as everyone will be linking to you.

However, with a basic, solid web page the process maybe much more difficult and slower. How do you get people to link to you?

The best way is to empty your wallet! Ok, just kidding, but first we will learn how easy that is.

For example there is a pay for blogging service that will cost you at least $5 per blog post (ie: per link) and maybe $25 or more. Now that will eat up your budget, and fast. These paid blog links don’t come with any guarantee. You might get lots of visitors and you might not get any at all.

How To Get The Most Seo And Web Traffic Benefits From Blogging

Pay per click is another great option for spending all your money. This will bring you visitors for sure and you’ll know how much each one costs. That’s it. There is no long term benefit. The ads show for only as long as you pay for them. When your money isn’t on the table, you don’t exist!

You can buy links all over the place and again this may end up costing you a pretty penny, you may or may not get suitable results but when you stop paying the results (good or bad) stop. You gain nothing for the future.

Now blogs are a great way to get visitors and develop a long term return. Blog posts tend to stick around for a long time. The trick here is to get people to blog about your website without forking over a bundle of your hard earned cash.

A great idea is to become a guest blogger. This would be where you write blog posts for other people’s blogs. Read: your links on someone else’s website for free!

This puts you in the drivers seat for a couple of reasons. First you have control over exactly what is said. Secondly, if you do a good job you may have the opportunity to make regular blog posts. That will build an audience on the blogs for your writing and turn into more and higher quality traffic for your website.

The key to being a great guest blogger is to write short (3 to 6 or so paragraph) posts that are interesting, informative, humorous and relevant to the topic of the blog (and your website). Of course they should have a link to your website. Don’t over do the linking. Don’t make it sound like an advertisement or something you just cut and pasted from your website.

A few minutes to compose a couple of well thought out paragraphs could do wonders for your web traffic. Keep looking for guest blogging opportunities and never use the same post for more than one blog. One post could bring a lifetime of traffic.

This may well be your most effective way to developing quality web traffic and enhancing your the SEO for your website(s).

Are You Blogging Effectively?

Perhaps “blogging” isn’t such a graceful word. For me, personally, it sounds like a worded drudgery the way cereals can be soggy, skies can be foggy, and the way minds can be groggy. But for now, it’s too late to rename this shortened word for web-logging. Widespread blogging is nevertheless one of the most engaging Internet developments of the past few years. As a medium it gives rise to many new and worthy voices and plays a new and vital force in shaping opinions, political realities, trends, and even our language.

I believe that a blog is simply a tool to use for someone who’s got something to say. Let me be clear in saying that a blog is a poor choice for someone who needs a megaphone to scream out to cyberspace in order to elicit a meaningful response from Internet users. If you want attention and want it now and expect blogging to bring it to you, then this will surely be a disappointment. However, if you like to write and engage others on subjects of which you have some command or experience, then it’s a wonderful application with which you can interact with people who share similar interests as you. The hype is well founded. (Create Stunning Marketing Video Using Free & Paid Tools)

Anyway, here’s a list of blogging tips…

1.) Be topical.

Cohesiveness in message is not optional. Readers may or may not be interested in your topic, but if your message is haphazard that few will bother remembering to return to your blog because it essentially would offer nothing to remember. This doesn’t mean blogs can’t jump from subject to subject. For instance, a blog with a humorous focus has all the leeway in the world for subject matter, but it would be foolish for such a blog to turn the humor on and off. In such an example, the aspect of humor would be content’s glue, the strength of the blog. The beauty of staying on point and on topic is that eventually, due to the nature of the Internet, you will find those interested solely in your topic. (as opposed to online diaries. There are millions of them on the internet, few have any readers. Email me with examples if I’m wrong and I’ll be able to show you why you’re showing me a blog and not a diary.)

2.) Refresh your content

Create a schedule and stick to it. Realizing that blogging requires time and effort, don’t create unrealistic expectations and be unable to deliver. An occasional lapse or holiday is generally understood but readers returning to find stale, out-dated content are going to find another blog with similar content. New blogs and RSS feeds are popping up on a daily basis. If you have worked hard to develop an audience and a community you don’t want to lose them due to lack of communication.

And remember, what’s old is not new and, for blogs, thusly not interesting. 2006 isn’t the time to rail against Enron or Vanilla Ice. Insight doesn’t matter much to yesterday’s news.

3.) Clear Language Counts.

Blessed is the blog with a clear line of logic. Write without inside jokes, clique-y catchphrases or ambiguous logic. First time readers need to be close to your message. They are more likely to return to blogs that strike them positively. If the first read is confusing there will not be a second read.

4.) Feed the Spiders.

Search engines take notice of active blogs and blog search engines are especially sensitive to activity. If nothing else, search engines are smarter today than they were yesterday and are only getting smarter. In constantly improving they are seeking to aggregate quality; quality blogs are updated several times a week, if not daily, as opposed to once or twice a month. I don’t mean to scare you but a big spider is watching, so dance for them.

5.) RSS.

Think of RSS like a magic to blogging world, because that’s the effect it’s had. RSS feeds are a way to exponentially sound your voice to the interested. These feeds are a great means to increase the distribution and readership of your original content.

PPC or SEO ? Which One Is Right For You

There are two major search engine marketing strategies in use today: SEO (search engine optimization) and PPC (pay-per-click). Both strategies are entirely different and it is tough to decide which one or which combination is right for you.

SEO PPC

To decide which strategy is best for you, consider the basics. It is easier to judge the pros and cons when taking the big picture into account. People will continue to battle for the top search engine positions. Search engine marketing is undoubtedly one of the best sources of targeted traffic.

As people continuously try to find new and unique ways to get additional traffic to their web sites, the SEO industry continues to grow. PPC refers to advertising on a search engine that charges on a per click basis whenever a visitor clicks on one of your ads. The order of ads is usually based on bidding prices, meaning that the advertiser who bids the highest price per click will be listed first. These sponsored listings are known as PPC listings.

SEO tries to change your search engine ranking by looking at a number of factors including link popularity, Page Rank and so on. If your web site is search engine optimized then obviously you are more likely to have a good ranking in the search engines. A well-optimized and marketed site will be listed in the top results whenever a person searches for related keywords. One of the best benefits of SEO marketing is you don’t have to pay for any clicks! So, how can we decide which method is better? Both methods actually serve different purposes. However, one is likely to be a better fit for your business than the other one. How to Make Money Blogging?

SEO

The main benefit of SEO is that it does not cost per click. The disadvantages are that the traffic to your website is more unpredictable and requires a lot of work. With SEO, you have to adapt and constantly change strategies as search engines change their algorithms. SEO is also slower than PPC, as many search engines don’t list new sites. So what should you choose? Well, it depends on how much money you are willing to spend, what your time line is, and what your return on investment is. If you have cash then PPC should be your first choice, as it produces fast results. PPC can also be used for testing the effectiveness of web sites. If you have time and money to invest in long-term results, SEO is an excellent option as well.

PPC

PPC traffic, rankings and results tend to be more stable and predictable than SEO, and, combined with its low cost, this makes PPC one of the more popular ways of advertising. Most companies try PPC before they try SEO, because it’s seen as more stable. In many cases PPC lets you rank well on the search engines, without having to do the tedious work involved in SEO – no finding link partners, posting links, creating content and so on. As long as you have the budget for it, the ranking is yours. Another advantage is that the listing will get posted when you want it and not when the search engine gets around to it. With PPC’s popularity growing day by day, the market is also getting competitive. You will find that CPC’s (costs per clicks) are steadily rising, and for a common man it is getting tough to invest much. As with most auctions, the more people bidding on PPC, the higher the prices get.

All and all, the best marketing strategy is typically to go with PPC in the short term to get immediate traffic and analyze conversions. SEO should then be taken with a long term view in mind, so you can reap the benefits of free traffic later on.

Tips For Targeting Your Intended Audience

For any business to properly succeed in the current hectic market, it pays to make sure that you are targeting your intended audience. If you’re not reaching your customer bases, then there is little chance that your business will survive. There are a few tips that you can follow as a business owner in order to accurately target your intended audience.

Know Who Is In Your Demographic

A large part of reaching your intended audience is knowing who that audience is. This means understanding the demographics of the people your business is trying to reach. Think in terms of gender, age, location, interests, and other such aspects. If your business is an upscale cafe that caters to professionals, you want to make sure that you are presenting it as such.

Determine What Your Product Can Do For Them

It doesn’t do any good to know your audience if you cannot properly present what you are offering. You may have an understanding of what your business has to offer to your customers, but your audience might not. Look at what you offer and what it can do for your audience. Does it solve a problem? Does it improve their lives in some way? Think about what the business does for them. Once you have that established, think about what can be done to motivate them into paying for it. Is it of a good quality? Are they going to want to come back for more? The message you’re trying to send to your audience needs to match your audience and their wants in order for it to be understood. 8 CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) Tips for e-Commerce Sales

Know Who Your Competition Is

The current economy is a bit crowded with many different businesses competing with one another for the same customer base. Similar businesses can cause confusion amongst their audience if they are presenting the same thing. In order to properly reach your intended audience and prevent any wires from being crossed, it is best to know who your competition is and what they are doing. This can help you make sure that you are presenting yourself as the better option for your audience.

Pros and Cons of Google AdSense

Adsense is a great way to increase the revenue from your websites and it has proven to be simple and effective to incorporate. However there are negative aspects to Adsense and alternatives that you may want to consider. Clearly the largest negative impact with the Adsense program is the chance of Google closing your accounts. Most of the time this happens because of ‘click fraud’, which happens when a person, automated script or computer program imitates a legitimate person clicking on an ad, for the purpose of generating income without having an actual interest in the ad’s link.

This happens to many unsuspecting Adsense publishers. It could be your competition doing this in order to shut you down, or the competitor of whoever is advertising on your page, looking to drive their marketing costs up. The simple fact is that there are many who will do this just because they can. If you want to prevent this from happening to you it is important that you monitor your campaigns. You can also limit your ads to specified countries, keep a close eye on where your ads are
displayed, try to target high-value sites and monitor your results with a good web analytics tool.

It is also important to keep track of any changes that you make your webpages, because anything you do to your site could end up being a big mistake costing you a great deal of Adsense income. If you make a change and see that your revenue has decreased then it is vital to your income that you can quickly identify and fix the problem. You constantly need to make sure your site is in the spotlight of search engines when people are searching for whatever it is your site is about.

If you fail to do that you won’t have any visitors, and that of course means you won’t have any Adsense revenue. In a way this is nothing new, as any form of generating revenue on the Internet with advertising has such a drawback. And finally, another major problem is that you constantly have to feed your site with better and better content. Now, of course, certain sites are very well geared towards doing this but with some types of content this is rather hard to achieve. If you are having trouble then you may want to hire a ghost writer to generate effective content.

When writing original content, the best thing an Adsense publisher can do is research a topic thoroughly and then return to writing with lots of information. Put the information into your own words, and inject your own opinion in to it. These are just a few of the pros and cons of using Adsense for generating profits. Now the choice of whether or not Adsense will work for you is completely up to you.

Google Adsense Guide To Decrease Workload And Increase Revenue

Today let’s talk about using Adsense ready sites to decrease your workload and increase your revenue.

Adsense ready sites are websites that are ready for you to upload to your server and start making money on right away. While they vary from package to package, most have similar features. For instance, Adsense ready sites should be already search engine optimized. That means that they have custom meta tags, H1 tags, and title tags. They should also have a Google sitemap and approved Privacy Policy as part of the package.

Google Adsense Guide To Decrease Workload And Increase Revenue

Then there are the ads themselves. Adsense ready sites should allow you to input your Adsense code and have fully working ads ready to go. Many also allow you to make money off of a paypal referral program as well. Each page should have a static file name. And, the pages should cross link to each other to maximize their SEO value. The sites have a full array of graphics already loaded into them that are perfect for the theme.

Some Adsense ready sites come complete with articles. For others, you have to write the content yourself. Still others randomly pull content from RSS feeds and from article directories so that the visitor will have a fresh experience each time. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting before buying an Adsense ready site. In addition to supporting Google’s Adsense program, some Adsense ready sites have other monetization methods. For instance, many incorporate products from the popular Clickbank site which also requires a simple sign up rather than approval for each product you promote.

Some producers of Adsense ready sites provide extra services as well. For instance, for an additional fee, you can have the producer install the site for you or submit your site to many directories. Others include step by step written or video instructions. Generally, producers give away bonuses as well. Sometimes these are extra sites (“buy 10, get 2 free”), ebooks on marketing, software, or coupons for free pay per click advertising.

You can find individual made for Adsense sites as well as packages with 400 or more sites in one download. Some are free while others will cost you a small amount. One producer who is selling 425 Adsense ready sites charges $147 for the complete package which includes many with articles already on them. Know that when you buy sites that are being sold to a large number of people, it leaves a large “footprint.” That means that the search engines will not rank them as highly. As a result, you will have to drive traffic in other ways such as article marketing or forum marketing.

Alternatively, you can take the site as a base and do a significant amount of modifications to reduce its footprint. This of course is my personal choice, because it will save you a nice amount of work and by taking the time to make a few customization you will end up with a nice collection of sites that will rank better and bring in more revenue for you.

Simple Tips To Increase Your Google Adsense Income

Today I want to share with you some simple tips that you can use to increase your Google Adsense income.

Let’s jump right in!

  • Limit your Adsense blocks to one per page.

While you might think that multiple ads mean multiple ways to increase your Google Adsense money, what really happens is that lower value ads are placed on your site. If the visitor is going to click, you want him to click on a high value ad.

  • Use multiple formats.

The main Ads by Google block is great, but it is only one of three formats. The other two are the text link ad (which you can make look like your navigation bar) and the Google search tool. Using one of each of these formats does not violate rule #1.

  • Place a large rectangle above the fold.

The best way to format a page is to have your headline followed by a large Adsense block. Start the keyword-rich article down below.

  • Have content rich sites.

You should try to have at least three phrases on each page that Google can “grab a hold of” to make ad placements. One of the quickest ways to lose your shirt is for Google to not be able to place any ads and display public service ads instead.

  • If you want to make Google Adsense money, you have got to chase higher paying keywords.

As you build websites, you will find that some Adsense clicks are only worth a penny or two while others bring in a couple of dollars. Highly competitive high dollar industries like insurance and personal injury law tend to be best. When in doubt, use the Google Adwords keyword tool to determine whether advertisers in the industry are spending a large amount per click.

  • Generate more traffic to your site.

If you have a click through rate of 10 percent, you know that 10 percent of all new visitors who come to your site will make you money. So, go out and entice more people to your site. It will make you more Google Adsense income.

  • Test, test test.

All of the above are suggestions based on “best practices” that other people have observed. But to make real Google Adsense money, you’ve got to test things out yourself. Change the colors on the ads and see whether that affects your click through rate. Move the ads around on the page. Try different size ads. Then, when you find a format that works, stick with it. Google Adsense can be a profitable way to increase the revenue from your websites. Just keep in mind that you have to treat it as a
business.

In most cases, blogging about your life won’t bring you much in the way of Adsense income. While even earning a few dollars for keeping an online diary appeals to some, if you want to make a business out of being a Google Adsense publisher, you have to take it seriously. That means chasing the high value keywords, developing Adsense friendly websites, and driving traffic to them. You have to test to make sure everything is producing as well as it can.

Increase Your Revenue With Google Adsense Crash Course

Google runs a highly profitable pay per click advertising program called Adwords. With Adwords advertisers take out ads on Google’s network. These ads are displayed on the search engine results and throughout the partner networks. The way you can make money with Google Adsense is to become part of the partner network.

It is relatively simple to become a partner. Simply go to Adsense.com and register your site (you have to have at least one site to get started.) Once you register, you will be able to obtain unique html code that you can place on your site which will display the Adwords ads. Adsense is the program for publishers. Adwords is the program for people spending money on Pay Per Click (advertisers). Most people assume that the best way to make money with Google Adsense involves having a lot of sites. While you can technically make a lot of money if you have hundreds of thousandsof visitors to one site, the way most people make money is to have a lot of smaller sites that get a fair number of visitors.

To increase your chances of success you should have a plan that includes putting up several “made for Adsense” sites a week. These sites are ideally 10 to 15 pages of content plus the required supporting pages such as your privacy policy. There are many ways to generate the content for these sites. You can write it yourself which is time consuming. You can pay to have it ghostwritten for you which can be expensive. You can use Private Label Rights articles which means the same article appears on multiple web sites. Or, you can go to article directories and download articles for free provided that you leave the author’s resource box intact.

Once you’ve built a site, you need to generate traffic to it. One of the popular ways to do this is to write unique articles and submit them to popular article directories such as Ezine Articles and Go Articles. Another way is to Search Engine Optimize your pages so that they appear high in the natural organic rankings. I know this may sound like a lot of work, but it doesn’t have to be. We will be talking about using premade sites in another lesson. This will help you achieve your goals much faster.

With Google Adsense you the main goal is to get people to click on your ads. While you should experiment with what works best for you, most experts agree that the larger rectangles out pull the other versions of the ads. And, less is more. Have only one or two Adsense blocks on your page. Any more than that and you are allowing the less profitable ads to show on your page. There are many people making $10,000 to $15,000 and more a month building these made for Adsense sites. Once you get a system down and figure out how to find popular niches, this becomes a breeze. Remember, though, that you are not playing at this. Building an Adsense income is a business and must be worked at as such.

Marketing Secrets Unlocked – Bums DO Earn Money. . .Online

Bums.

What is your first thought when you think of this word?

A person living on the streets begging for money?

If you’re British you might think about arses.

Well offline either is a pretty good description

However when you think about ‘bums’ online there’s now only one thing it really means – BUM MARKETING.

Marketing “bums” are folks that elect to take the easy way to earning profits online. And here’s how the real bum marketers do it…

A Marketing “bum” will either write their own, or rewrite another author’s 300-800 word article in several places such as free article directories, or on their own web sites including blogs.

(In case you wondered blogs are a great place to post articles.)

But, within the articles, they tuck away a few different money making methods such as  Google Ads, affiliate links, and links to their own select web pages that are designed to sell ONE product at a time (any more than one product and most people get confused and leave the page)

Cleverly – all those little money-making methods are related to the topic discussed inside their article.

So for example an article on viral marketing would include a link to an affiliate product about viral marketing (if you buy it, the bum marketer would get maybe 50%).

The web page links in the article would link to another product on viral marketing – perhaps one actually written by the bum marketer.

The google ads displayed would also link to viral marketing products and the clever bums would also have an opt-in link to a ‘free viral marketing newsletter’ just in case you didn’t want to buy anything instantly so they can mail you later with offers.

What’s really cool about Marketing bums is the fact that they do next to nothing besides writing up short little articles and offering them for free to anyone and everyone who wants to read them, and still manage to make pretty good profits.

Here’s the Master Key Secret

It’s the people who use their articles that do the work for them – they’re the ones who spread the articles, and therefore the reputation and LINKS of the bum marketer.

After the money starts to come in they can even outsource the article writing (paying $20 for an article to be written) so they don’t actually have to do ANY work themselves. Genius.

So, effectively they earn money from giving away free information. Beyond that, they also build up their reputation as a person of value to others by providing such valuable information for free.

It’s a win – win situation and that’s exactly why the gurus give out so many free reports.

It’s not because they’re nice people or want to help you with free info – IT’S BECAUSE THEY MAKE SO MUCH MONEY FROM DOING IT THEY’VE ABSOLUTELY NO DESIRE TO STOP.

Obviously this method isn’t “new”, but it IS a method that brings positive results to those who use it.

I often wonder how many people just don’t realize how powerful this method of making money is. We all pay lip service to bum marketing and how great it is, but who actually uses it?

Well I’ll tell you now I do.

Because it brings me tens of thousands of dollars a year.

Of course, everyone will earn a different amount.

Some will earn little. And some will earn a lot. It all depends on the effort you put in.

If you only release, or publish, a handful of articles sprinkled with your money making devices, then you can only expect to see a small return from your efforts.

If you get the process as automated as possible using freelance writers you stand to make a lot of money. A ton of money.

The more bum articles / viral products you have out there, the more money you’ll make.

There’s more to bum marketing than I can cover here but here’s my point.

Gurus DON’T give away freebies because they’ve ‘earned more than enough money and now it’s time to give something back’

They’re not like that. They may have made enough money but they want more. Much more.

Get hold of every ‘free’ bit of information issued by the gurus and study it carefully. Then copy the exact same method but use different information.

If they have a report about adsense that links to two websites and an affiliate program, write one about blogging that links to two websites and an affiliate program.

Put your links in the same places as they do – word the links the same. Look at the introduction, the way in which they distribute it, where they give it away for free etc and DO THE SAME with your subject.

It’s basically a master class on Bum Marketing provided free of charge for you by the guru.

Use it. Most people just look at the free material, maybe read it and that’s that.

FORGET the free material. Look at the method.

Copy it.

It could earn you a LOT of money.

That’s the secret they DON’T want to give away for free – without realizing it’s exactly what they ARE doing – you just have to know where to look to get it…and now I’ve just told you.
